Louis Lambrechts is a Research Director within the Virology Department of Institut Pasteur in Paris, where he leads the Insect-Virus Interactions Unit and the joint CNRS/Institut Pasteur Unit Evolutionary Genomics, Modeling and Health. He earned his PhD in 2006 (Pierre and Marie Curie University) and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, Davis. Since joining Institut Pasteur in 2010, he has authored over 107 scientific publications. Dr. Lambrechts is the recipient of several awards, including the CNRS Bronze Medal (2018) and the Pasteur-Vallery Radot Prize (2020). He was elected Fellow of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (FASTMH) in 2022.
